About Jahkno
Jahkno is Jamaica’s first dedicated online music community. It was launched in Oct. 2005 and has been one of Jamaica’s daily source of information to the global dancehall / reggae community. Since Jahkno emerged in 2005, we have further expanded our community into an entertainment blog, providing the latest in news on the entertainment scene both locally and internationally.
Its primary purpose is to provide information about dancehall / reggae music and its culture. We provide our members with exclusive media content including videos, photos and streaming MP3’s.
All content on Jahkno is dancehall / reggae related. We deliver daily information on dancehall / reggae news, artiste interviews, party listing and reviews. We offer a online dancehall / reggae mixtape archive where you can listen streaming audio mixtape. Our local events calendar provide you with the latest in party happens in and around Jamaica.
Our online radio station (JahMix Radio) provides you with 24/7 live broadcasts, so while you browse the web you can enjoy your favourite mixes by your favourite dj’s. The talented JahMix Dj Team provide you with the latest and greatest whether its reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, soca, techno etc.
In late 2007, we acquired a multimedia streaming server (Jahkno.net) where you can store photos, sound files, video files and even documents / books. It offers an online playback for all media files with embedding support to share your content with friends, family, site members or just for your personal usage.
Jahkno also provides an interactive section, where our community members can live chat using our shoutbox feature, discuss daily actives using the forum, play online games, upload and post private / public photos in our members gallery, multimedia and many more.
